Pure Organic Ahimsa Silk

Many people today are embracing the idea of sustainable living, and one fabric that beautifully supports this vision is Ahimsa silk. The word “Ahimsa” comes from Sanskrit and means “do no harm,” a fitting name for what is also called peace silk. Unlike traditional silk, peace silk is collected only after the silkworms have left their cocoons, allowing the fabric to be made with respect for life and nature.

This dress is made from peace silk, a fabric created with care and respect for life. The silk is gathered only after the silkworms have naturally left their cocoons, resulting in a material that is soft, breathable, and gentle on the skin. With a satin finish, it has a subtle glow and a graceful drape that moves beautifully as you do.

Care Instructions

Crafted slowly by hand, botanically dyed, and woven with sacred care, each piece deserves tenderness in return.

To preserve the essence of your AYA piece:

- Hand wash in cold water with gentle, natural soap. Harsh detergents may strip away the plant-based colors and natural energy of the fabric.

- Do not soak or bleach. Each dye is alive — made from roots, flowers, and leaves. Like all living things, it deserves gentle handling.

- Dry in the shade, away from direct sunlight, to honor the integrity of botanical dyes and maintain the fabric’s strength and beauty.

- Iron on low heat if needed, ideally with a layer of cloth between the iron and garment.

- Store folded or hanging in a cool, dry space, accompanied by herbs or a natural sack.
